VATICAN MUSEUMS - ¹ Every Day - (about 3 Hours)


Sistine Chapel  

The complex of the Vatican Museums is unique patrimony of the humanity.
The visit includes the Candelabras, Tapestries, Geographical Maps Galleries, the Immaculate Conception Room.

We will continue in the famous School of Athens inside the Rooms of Raphael, painted by the artist between 1508 and 1520.

We will visit the Sistine Chapel, center of the Conclaves with the divine frescos of the Genesis and the Last Judgment, marvellous work of Michelangelo Buonarroti.

The Sistine Chapel is one of the most famous artistic treasures in the Vatican City and in the world, built between 1475 and 1483 to the time of Pope Sisto IV.

The tour ends with St Peter’s Basilica where you can admire besides the Pietà of Michelangelo, the body exposed to the adoration of Pope John XXIII's believers, the magnificent mosaics works of great artists and the canopy in bronze, work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini, and ends in St Peter’s Square for the last of many picture moments.

Availability: Everyday except Sunday when the sites remain closed.

We suggest to schedule your visit to the Vatican Museums in the afternoon around 1:30/2:00 PM, to avoid excessive affluence of groups in the morning.

Note: Access to Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter's Basilica is permitted to visitors dressed appropriately (no sleeveless blouses, no miniskirts, no shorts, no hats allowed). For security reason no backpacks of any size are allowed, please do not bring any.
